things that should be getting done vs. things that are going on in my head

May 23rd, 2009

It’s spring. It’s nice out. I don’t want to study. I don’t know why I thought it would be smart to take a condensed college course during spring. I should be following the not so secret message in the words: spring break. Instead, I have a midterm in a silly business math course in a few days that will be harder than I’m anticipating. I should be studying for that.

Instead I am

  1. Making homemade pasta with homemade pasta sauce
  2. Buying a picture frame for a 3 year belated Mother’s Day present for my Mum
  3. Thinking about making microwave popcorn
  4. Playing with my camera’s remote and also with Photoshop
  5. Browsing new wordpress themes
  6. Helping the boyfriend design a website for a friend of his
  7. Thinking about movies I’d like to be watching… right now.
  8. Wondering if there’s any Twilight fan fiction out there that I’d be interested in reading After a quick google, I can tell there definitely is not.
  9. Thinking about ordering the new Jamie Oliver cookbook… I don’t own any of his other cookbooks but I also don’t know why I wouldn’t, so maybe I should. Is what I’m saying.
  10. Contemplating whether or not reading the rest of “In Defense of Food” and eating microwave popcorn (it’s organic) would be incongruous and give me bad dreams. Maybe only if I put that Kernels “dill pickle” flavour on it.

So… I’m going to go do one of the many things that don’t involve studying. Is that really a surprise?
