not being busy

April 2nd, 2009

having free time is amazing. seriously. not having class opens up worlds of things to do: clean, do laundry, work out, plan vacations, take pictures, photoshop, read blogs, skateboard through the slushy streets… ok, maybe not that.

in less than two weeks i’m going on vacation. there are still a few things i have to do pick up before boy-bot and i go, but i think we’re pretty much ready for some sun-time. or rain time. it seems like it’s never less than 20C in honolulu, so i honestly don’t care what the weather is, as long as it brings me some of that goodness.

my boss is away this week and next week. i’m holding down the fort at work. mostly, it’s easy and makes no real difference in terms of the amount of work i have to do. i just have to answer more questions from coworkers, which is totally fine. i just get sooo tired. of the questions. and the validating. and the questions. i think they might feel more comfortable asking me things? so i get some really general questions that have to do with the line of business we’re in. for example, if i worked for a company that made staples, today they asked me the equivalent of, “what is a stapler?” and while i feel like it’s important to answer them i find it challenging to know where to start. especially when they say things like, “oh, i thought a stapler was a place.”

anyway! lately i’ve been working out every day again and i loves it. it’s amazing how much of a difference it makes to do a half hour long run in the evening. i sleep better, feel better, and am resolving my swimsuit issues.

harrrr.
