it’s customary to do a new years post. right?

2008 was the big suck. it started with the stomach flu and has ended with a mediocre christmas vacation. awesome.

i ushered out last year, last night, in a big way:

homework.

followed by several dozen episodes of mad men. all of the episodes of mad men, actually.

tomorrow, hopefully without emotional drama or physical incident, we’ll be going to the mountains for the weekend. unfortunately right now i have a tension headache that is painful enough for me to want to be euthanized. seriously. it’s more like a bodyache, really, starting in my cheeks, spreading down through my neck, back, and who knows where after that.

i had some funny things to say before i sat down, but they are completely gone, as tends to be the case.

oh wells.
