How wonderful it is
Saturday, December 15th, 2007All the years my parents sent me to church and Sunday School as a kid, I felt empty. It didn’t really mean anything to me. In fact, I dreaded it, and the clothes that came with it.
I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it is, as a lot of people have known their whole lives -without question- to be in touch.
In touch with themselves, spirit, the energy of the earth, in touch with everything. To be so in tune, so open, so vulnerable, so feeling.
I understand “sixth sense.” But it’s not really like that. To be a medium. To be ‘psychic’ (I loathe that term). It’s all the senses you already have. Have always had. An internal dialog. A sense of of touch. I think if I were to depict this “sixth sense” pictorially, it would be a person with a hole in the top of their head and fingers on the back of their neck and down their spine. And a big, open heart.
With spiritualism, I don’t have to go to church. I can, and sometimes do enjoy a service. A service with meditation, mediums, messages, and most important, learning about mindfulness. But, I don’t have to…. because now I know that spirit comes from within.
Namaste
